XXL Jan./Feb. Cover

Do these magazines just go ahead with whatever? 50 just had Before I Self Destruct pushed back. To February 3rd 2009.

Now, I see the cover date. But chances are, 50's gonna need a street single and possibly a second first single before this album sees the light of day. So  I don't expect this album until the March/April/May 2009 region. So I think XXL lost which is sad considering how good I thought the last issue was.

I asked whoever runs the VibeMagazine twitter account about the Plies cover when they first announced it. Yes, Plies is dropping December 16, so he actually has an album out but why not someone else? Now that I rethink it, it may because they had Kanye on the cover last December. Hov's not coming out yet and he was on the XV anniversary issue. Luda and Beyonce have been done before. They could have done a Common cover but would it sell? So now it makes sense why they would go for the little big name that is Plies. Still not a favorite of mine but he's huge down south I hear.

I don't know how this turned into more than a few sentences. I really like what Datwon Thomas (XXL EiC) did with King Magazine. But he's been average with XXL since whatever happened to Elliot Wilson (YN) went down. I think it would have been better if Vanessa Satten was left in charge. But that's neither here or there. I still have only missed one issue since the OutKast cover in 03. The shirtless Wayne/Birdman cover. lol. If anyone has a good copy of that one, holla tho!
